The wireless connection allows data to be transmitted wirelessly between the various system components, eliminating long and costly cable runs. It also allows new components to be easily added as needed as requirements grow.
The wired connection provides a constant and reliable power supply to power the solenoid valves that control the fluid supply. There are also no dead batteries to fail. In addition, wired data transmission avoids interference and other obstacles that could distort wireless data transmission.
